2010 Holiday Shoebox Drive

Hi there,
Just dropping  a line to say ,in the past you have been a great help in making, “The Shoebox Drive” a great success and we would like to thank you immensely for your continuous support of our project.

This years drive has just begun to pick up and we would like to know if you are interested in helping out with our 2010 Holiday season?

In the past we have collected thousands of items to stuff into wrapped holiday boxes for the needy youth in our local areas. Last year we also, with items graciously donated by individuals like yourselves, were able to also help individual families that have been struck with unfortunate, detrimental circumstances at the holiday.

In continuing with our traditions, please feel free to contact me for details on this years drive individually, if you are interested in giving for a family or to bring a smile to a childs face for the 2010 holiday season.

For a brief list of items being collected, see below: ( If you have items that are not listed below that you think would fit our project, please feel free to email with questions)

* Please remember that we try to give new unused items in the shoeboxes for a child that most likely will not get something of their very own for the holiday.
* We are accepting gently used items for individual families struck with detriment.
wrapped candies, cookies and goodies
gloves, hats, socks
small new toys ( legos, dolls, small electronic games , bubbles , yo-yo’s etc)
books, stickers, stationary, diary, note pads
pencils, crayons, erasers, markers
care products ( deodorant, shampoo, body wash, lotions, powder, soaps)
girly stuff ( hair ties, makeup, lip gloss)
Hair brushes, combs
Boyish stuff ( cars, trucks, bug keepers)
glow sticks and glow jewelry
*as always gift certificates for local stores such as Walmart, Target, Kmart, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Marshalls, Payless,  Shoprite, Pathmark, Acme and Giant, etc,  to buy these things will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you again for your continuous support,
Maryellen and ” The Shoebox Drive”

POOCHES AND POLO EVENT COME ON OUT

Living For A Cause will be selling Fine Art done by Celebrities at the following event to raise money for the NJ Animeals on Wheels organization.  Animeal on Wheels delivers food to pets whose owners are financially or physically in need.  This is a great organization and Living For a Cause is proud to help in any way we can.

The Pooches and Polo event is just around the corner (Saturday,  September 18).    Polo Match runs from 2 – 4.  However, folks and their dogs tend to arrive early for the canine festivities.

The address for Tinicum Park is below.   Tinicum Park Polo Club has a website if you’re interested in more details:

POVERTY
