Our very own co-founder and board member Laura Quinn is going on an exciting trip to India. Laura Quinn and Veronica Pirone, NJ healthcare Advocates with over 30 collective years of health care experience, are joining the Breast Cancer Resource Center in Princeton to create widespread impact for those of Asian-Indian decent in New Jersey.
She will be traveling to five separate medical centers throughout Southern India to speak to women and their families about dispelling the myths about their care, and taking the fear out of getting screened and going for treatment. Laura wants to share tools and encourage them to be proactive about self examination. Laura’s ultimate goal is to also learn how to approach and educate this culture so that we can better understand how to serve our many Asian-Indian communities back home here in New Jersey. Where ever there is a chance to make a difference you will find Laura. Have a wonderful and safe trip! LFAC Board.
