Elaine’s Art Club, a program of The Elaine Raphael Arts Fund, is excited to enter into a collaboration with The Boys and Girls of Union County at their flagship New Jersey location in Union, New Jersey. The workshops will begin on October 13th and will run for six weeks on consecutive Tuesdays from 4-6pm.
Fifteen students will be immersed in the classic approach to drawing. Starting with charcoal, pastels and eventually acrylic painting, the young artists will learn basic design principles, sharpen their observation skills through the use of live models and enhance their artistic technique.

The program will be offered to students who have shown an interest in art and demonstrated a commitment to developing their artistic talent. Don Bolognese, Elaine’s Art Club’s artistic director, along with other professional artists from the community who share his passion will be working directly with the students in this mentorship program.

Elaine’s Art Club will continue into 2016 and if funding allows will expand to other locations in Union County. The Elaine Raphael Arts Fund is excited to be working with these young artists and hopes that this will give them an opportunity to pursue their dreams – just as Elaine and Don did at their age.
