Firehouse Subs Public & Safety Foundation and Living for a Cause Partnering To Save Pets' Lives.

Many first responder agencies do not have pet oxygen masks.

A grant to purchase 92 pet oxygen masks was awarded to Living for a Cause, a non-profit organization in Florence, New Jersey dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people, animals and the planet we share. The masks, made possible through Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and the Michelle Delre Pet Oxygen Mask Memorial Fund, were distributed to various fire departments to use to resuscitate pets and treat smoke inhalation after a fire.

“Our firefighters are on the front lines dedicated to human rescue when confronted with a fire. To now have these pet oxygen masks in hand means that we can give the pets out there every fighting chance to survive.”– Steve McConlogue, President of the Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey
