Many of our donors ask about how they can contribute to the progress of our many programs in different or creative ways.

 

Why not consider leaving a legacy donation through your Will or Estate?

 

For many of us, it’s important to leave something meaningful behind for the people and causes that matter most to us. With proper planning and execution, it’s possible to create a financial legacy that will support the people and organizations that matter to YOU.

 

Designate Living for a Cause as a gift recipient as part of your estate planning.  If you’d like to elevate the impact of our mission and goals, think about making a tax-deductible donation that can be designated to a specific program, or the overall day-to-day operations of the organization.

 

Ways to Give

 

There are many ways to design a charitable bequest in your Will or Trust agreement.

These may include:

• A specific bequest, which provide to Living for a Cause a specific dollar amount, percentage of your estate, or piece of property.

• A contingent bequest, which provides to Living for a Cause all or a portion of your estate if circumstances make it impossible to carry out your primary provisions (as when your spouse or other heirs do not survive you)

• A residual bequest, which provides to Living for a Cause all or a percentage of your estate after all other bequests, debts, taxes, and expense have been distributed.

• You can also make Living for a Cause a beneficiary of all or a portion of an insurance policy or IRA.

 

You might want to discuss these options and others with your attorney as you prepare to update your Will or your beneficiary designations.
